The City Council and Standing Committee Meetings scheduled for May 27 have been rescheduled to Tuesday, May 28, 2024. These meetings will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Stratford City Hall at 1 Wellington Street, Stratford.

Parking set fines in the City of Stratford are increasing as of May 1, 2024
What does this mean?
This means that set fines for parking related infractions are increasing as of May 1, 2024. For example, an expired meter ticket will carry a set fine of $60, or a $40 voluntary payment if paid within 7 days. Parking in a No Parking area/space will carry a set fine of $80, or a $60 voluntary payment if paid within 7 days.

The City of Stratford has begun its spring hydrant flushing.
This is something we do twice a year – typically in the spring and fall – to clean out some of the iron deposits that build up over time in the City’s watermains, and as preventative maintenance.
You may temporarily experience discoloured water as a result of this flushing process, but water quality is not affected. Discoloured water will clear, but it’s best to wait until it has cleared before doing laundry.
